Introductory Background:

iMatrix-221MG is the clinical version of our RUO iMatrix-221.

iMatrix-221MG meets the Standards of Biological Ingredients by Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA), a government agency in Japanese which is analogous to the U.S. FDA. The regulation is one of the strictest in the world and iMatrix-221MG not only fulfills regulatory requirements, it is being implemented by numerous pharmaceutical and therapeutic companies, big and small, as well as institutes.

iMatrix-221MG is a recombinant human laminin-221 E8 fragment protein expressed in cGMP-grade Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO)-S cells. iMatrix-221 contains the integrin-binding site of the laminin-221 molecule. iMatrix-221 is a useful cell culture substrate for proliferation and differentiation of cardiomyocytes and skeletal muscule cells. iMatrix-221MG is also useful for the culture of other cells adhering to laminin-221.
